Rainbow Smoothies
Let's just cut right to the chase and admit colorful foods are more fun, so I've cooked up a rainbow of (smoothie) recipes for ya! 🤩
Whether you have one for breakfast or a post-workout protein boost, the pretty (natural!!) color of each one is sure to make it taste that much sweeter. (You'll also see some of my favorite vegan/plant-based protein powder choices, because trust me, the taste, color, and texture of it can make allll the difference.)
Read on for each rainbow colored recipe!
PINK // Unicorn Tears
Unicorn Tears Smoothie
1/2 packet frozen dragonfruit/pitaya
5 fresh strawberries
1 serving Life's Basics Organic Plant Protein (Natural Vanilla)
1 c. coconut milk
1/2 c. water
5 ice cubes
1 tsp strawberry extract (optional)
1 tsp each: maca powder, lucuma powder, ashwagandha root powder (optional)
Add all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
ORANGE // Just Peachy Juice
Just Peachy Juice
1/4-1/2 c. frozen peaches
2 oranges (skins removed)
2" piece fresh turmeric root
1" piece fresh ginger root
2 c. water
Add all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
YELLOW // Cup o' Sunshine
Cup o' Sunshine Smoothie
1/2 banana
1/2 c. frozen pineapple
1/4 c. frozen jackfruit (optional)
1 serving Life's Basics Organic Plant Protein (Natural Vanilla)
1 c. coconut milk
1/2 c. water
5 ice cubes
1 tsp each: maca powder, lucuma powder, ashwagandha root powder (optional)
Add all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
GREEN // Mermaid Milk
Mermaid Milk Smoothie
1/2 c. frozen pineapple
1/2 packet frozen acai
1/2 banana
1 tsp spirulina
1 c. macadamia milk
1/2 c. water
5 ice cubes
1 tsp each: maca powder, lucuma powder, ashwagandha root powder (optional)
Add all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
BLUE // Blue Lagoon
Blue Lagoon Smoothie
1/2 banana
1/4 c. frozen blueberries
1 serving Life's Basics Organic Plant Protein (Natural Vanilla)
1 tsp E3 AFA powder
1 c. macadamia milk
1/2 c. water
5 ice cubes
1 tsp each: maca powder, lucuma powder, ashwagandha root powder (optional)
Add all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
PURPLE // Purple People-Eater
Purple People-Eater Smoothie
1 packet frozen dragonfruit/pitaya
1/2 c. frozen cherries
1/4 c. frozen mixed berries (blackberries, blueberries, etc.)
1 serving Life's Basics Organic Plant Protein (Natural Vanilla)
1/2 tsp spirulina
1 c. macadamia milk
1/2 c. water
5 ice cubes
1 tsp each: maca powder, lucuma powder, ashwagandha root powder (optional)
Add all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
All of these recipes pretty much have the same basic recipe structure, so feel free to experiment with your own flavors and colors. (And of course let me know in the comments below if you have your own colorful libation to add to the mix!)
So fun, right? (And tasty, too!) I just wish all my foods could be this colorful. They say to eat a rainbow a day, so I'm just doing my part. 😉
