Ever wanted to meet one of the happiest, kindest, most joyful souls there ever was? We are oh so lucky and honored that Kate from Splat Art Studio visited Confetti Land! Out of her whimsical studio in Wallingford, Connecticut, Kate creates a cheerful and judgement free space to host kids' art classes, camps, workshops, and celebrations. It's Kate's passion and mission to bring love and joy through art making in a fun, happy, and sometimes quirky way. In this episode we chat about things like finding joy in what you do, using art as a therapy and safe place, the importance of creating without pressure, and how fun it would be to have rainbow mashed potatoes.

About Kate

Hello, I'm Kate McNamee…owner/artist of Splat Art Studio in Wallingford, Connecticut! Students create in a cheerful and judgement free studio. We host kids' art classes, camps, workshops & celebrations. My passion and mission are to bring love and joy through art making in a fun, happy and sometimes quirky way. I've been teaching art for over 16 years and I am still madly in love with what I do. My motto-"Your happy is my happy." There is nothing more rewarding to see than the smiling faces from my students as they create. My favorite things are spending time with my family, making any type of art, reading any art history and eating macaroni and cheese. Blessed and thankful to do what I love and love what I do.

You can follow Kate on Instagram @splatartstudio and visit www.splatartstudio.com for more.
