Confetti Geodes
by Jessica Serra Huizenga
Joy exists inside the hard parts.
Confetti geodes are meant to serve as a colorful reminder that there is often magic beneath the surface; that even if something is covered in shades of gray, it can still be beautiful inside. These geodes are a physical representation of accepting that life is not always sunshine and rainbows, but at the very center — at our core — we can still intentionally choose joy.

Confetti geodes are made from canvas/panels, adhesive, confetti, plaster strips, acrylic paint, and gold foil. Confetti is adhered to canvas, then plaster strips are hand-applied in small sections to create a textured, rock-like surface. Once dried, the plaster is painted, and the edges are accented with gold foil. Each is completely handmade and unique. Confetti geodes can be hung on the wall like traditional canvas art, or smaller geodes can be used as a sculptural paper weight/decor piece.
