A DIY Confetti Bar For Your New Year's Eve Celebration {Free Printable}
Cue the confetti because a new year is dawning! And it wouldn't be a New Year's Eve celebration without confetti, right?!
On December 31st do you enjoy reflecting on the year that was and dream of the year that is to come? (Don't be shy...we definitely do!) New Year’s Eve has even become a favorite holiday here in Confetti Land because it seems the whole world is joining in one giant confetti party! If you're looking for a little more inspiration for what to do for your New Year's party, look no further, because we've got a New Year's Eve activity that is both meaningful and fun: a DIY Confetti Bar where you mix in all the things you wish for next year.
Elevate Your New Year's Eve Celebration With A DIY Confetti Bar
We're not sure exactly where this original concept originated, but shoutout to whoever it was because we’ve been waiting all year to put this fun confetti bar together. The idea is to create a DIY confetti mix of what you want your new year to look like. (For example, you can use colors, i.e. green confetti pieces for wealth, red for good fortune, or yellow for lots of sunshine, etc., or just generally have a unique mix for different "mix-ins.") Add all the elements you want to incorporate into your life more, then toss it at midnight and you’ve got lots of happy confetti wishes fluttering around like magic.
Whether your gathering is a party of many or a party of one, this is the only way to ring in the New Year!
Pro Tip: While this is a classic idea for what to do on New Year's Eve, this would be fun to adopt for other milestones and occasions, too! Imagine a yearly birthday confetti wish bar...or perhaps a holiday wishes bar...or even one to celebrate the changing of seasons.

Don't Forget The Details
Small spoons / scoops are also handy...or you can just grab a few pinches. :)
It’s also really fun to treasure hunt your house for clear containers to display the various confetti mixes in! (Goodwill and/or your local thrift store are also usually treasure troves of unique and interesting glassware that won't break the bank, too!)
By varying your containers (both size and shape), it will make for a more eclectic setup, which is always fun & unique.
To keep with the theme of celebrating what was and what is to come, ponder these questions as a starting point — maybe even exchange answers with the people you’re spending the evening with:
What is something that brought you immense joy this year?
What was an unexpected challenge or sorrow? And what growth came of it?
What is one fun thing you’ve always wanted to do or try that you’ll start in the new year?
What is one practical way that you can spread more sunshine in the new year?
How or what will you choose to celebrate more in the new year?
Friends, we hope your NYE midnight mix wishes all come true as you embrace the old and new of what makes you uniquely you! Cheers to a Happy (Sparkly) New Year!!
